Free shipping on online store orders

You can make shipping free on online store orders in two ways:

A Free shipping reward — a member benefit you attach to club tiers, like any other reward. Only signed-in members of those tiers get it.
A free shipping promotion — store-wide, for every customer, guests included. Set it up on the Shipping page.

Both can have a minimum order and can be limited to set dates and weekly hours. Both only cover standard shipping: if a customer chooses a faster speed, such as Next Day, they pay that speed's price.

Free shipping only applies to online store orders, including staff-placed live sales. Club shipments aren't affected: their shipping follows each tier's settings as before.

A Free shipping reward for members

Go to Marketing → Rewards and click Add Reward.
On What it is, choose Free shipping ("Free standard shipping on their online orders") and give it a Name. Members see the name, and checkout shows it as "Free shipping — {name}".
On Limits & timing, optionally set a Minimum spend: "The online order's merchandise, after discounts, has to reach this. Leave blank for every order." There's nothing else to limit: "Free shipping applies to every qualifying online order, so there is nothing to limit."
On Who & where, tick the Club tiers that get it. Where it's used reads "Online store orders only, on standard shipping. Faster speeds keep their price." Under Availability, keep Always available or limit it to set dates and times (see Time-limited rewards).
Click Create.

On the Rewards page it shows a Free shipping type badge and "Free shipping on online orders" as its value, with "On orders of $X+" when it has a minimum. It never needs register setup.

A store-wide free shipping promotion

Go to Settings → Shipping. At the bottom of the page, the Free shipping promotions card says "Free standard shipping on online orders for every customer, guests included, during the dates and hours you set. Members can also get free shipping as a reward." You need the Manage Shipping permission.

Click Add to open New shipping promotion ("Free standard shipping on online orders, for every customer"):

Name — 'Shown at checkout as "Free shipping — {name}".' For example "Memorial Day weekend".
Minimum order — "The merchandise, after discounts, has to reach this. Leave blank for every order."
On — "Off pauses it whatever its dates say."
Availability — Always available or Only during set dates and times, with the same Starts, Ends and Weekly hours fields as a reward. Times are read in your business time zone.

Click Add to save it. Each promotion in the card shows its status (Active, Scheduled, Ended or Off, with "Starts {date}" or "Ended {date}"), its schedule or "Any time", and "On orders of $X+" when it has a minimum. Use the pencil to edit it, or the trash icon to delete it ("Delete this promotion?" — "Orders already placed keep the free shipping they were sold with.").

Who gets free shipping

WineView decides at checkout, on the cart as WineView prices it: after member pricing and after any promo code. So a $100 minimum is measured on what the customer actually pays for the wine, not the list price.

A member's own Free shipping reward wins over a store promotion when both apply, because it's the benefit they joined for.
Guests can get a store promotion, but never a member reward. A guest who uses a member's email is still checked out as a guest; they need to sign in for member benefits.
The minimum compares the merchandise total to each reward or promotion that's open right now. If none is reached, the cart tells the customer how close they are.

What customers see

In the cart: "Free shipping — {name}" when the cart already qualifies, or "Spend $X more for free shipping ({name})" when a minimum is within reach.
At checkout: the shipping line reads "Free shipping — {name}" with Free as the amount, on standard shipping.

What's recorded on the order

The free shipping an order was sold with is recorded on the order. Buying the label later, editing the order or changing its address uses that decision, so an order placed during a weekend promotion still ships free when you buy its label on Tuesday. Deleting or ending a promotion doesn't change orders already placed.
