Registration & Onboarding

Setting up your WineView account takes just a few minutes. After you sign up and confirm your email, WineView routes you through one of two onboarding paths based on the size of your existing wine club.

Step 1: Tell Us How Many Members You Have

The first screen asks "How many club members do you have?" with four options:

No members yet — You haven't started a club yet
1–100 members — You're a small or growing operation
101–500 members — You have an established club
500+ members — You're a large operation

Your answer determines what happens next:

No members yet or 1–100 members → You go straight into the AI-assisted self-serve registration wizard (Step 2).
101–500 or 500+ members → You're routed to a Schedule a Call page so the WineView team can walk you through migration personally (Step 2 alt).

In both cases, an internal notification is sent to the WineView team so we know your size and can help if you get stuck.

Step 2 (Small Businesses): AI-Assisted Self-Serve Wizard

The self-serve registration wizard has just two steps:

Business Information — Enter your website URL and WineView's AI will extract your business name, type, description, and address from your website. You can also fill in fields manually. Review and edit the extracted data, then continue.
Contact Information — Add your contact name, phone, and email. Click Submit to create your business.

After you submit, WineView automatically:

Creates your business group and primary location
Generates an AI-written listing description from your website content
Creates a starter listing with two example tiers
Seeds three example rewards
Adds inventory placeholders so you can start customizing right away

You're then taken to your new listing's preview page so you can review, customize, and submit it for approval.

Step 2 (Large Businesses): Schedule a Call

If you have 101+ members, you're shown a Schedule a Call page with:

A Calendly scheduler to book an onboarding session at a time that works for you
Information about migration support and personalized setup
Quick FAQs about how WineView works for established clubs

This route exists because large clubs benefit from hands-on help importing existing members, mapping legacy data, and configuring complex setups (multi-location, custom rewards, integrations) before going live. The self-serve wizard is still available if you'd rather start there — just contact support after scheduling.

Help & Support Page

Every business has access to a Help & Support page in the dashboard sidebar (under Help at the bottom). It includes:

An Ask Vino button to open the in-app AI assistant
A link to the public Help Center (where you're reading this)
An embedded onboarding video walkthrough
A Calendly link to book a 1:1 onboarding session
A direct email link to support@wineview.com

Use this page any time you need a fast answer or human help.

Onboarding Checklist

After registration, your dashboard shows a 6-step onboarding checklist to get your club up and running. This checklist is shown only to business owners who do not yet have active members. A segmented progress bar at the top tracks how many steps you've completed — completed segments turn wine-colored, skipped segments turn gray.

The 6 steps are:

Finalize Your Club 🍷 — Review and customize your club listing before going live. Once your listing is ready, submit it for approval by clicking the Ready to go live? Submit your club for approval link. After approval, this step's title changes to Club Approved! 🎉 and it shows a View Public Profile button.
Let's Get You Paid 💰 — Link your Stripe account for payment processing. Click the Connect button to go to the Payments page and start the Stripe setup flow.
Import Your Contacts — Upload existing members or a mailing list. Click the Import button to open the CRM import wizard. This step can be skipped by clicking Skip for now.
Connect Your POS — Sync inventory and enable reward redemptions by connecting Toast. Click the Connect button to go to the Integrations page. This step can be skipped by clicking Skip for now.
Set Up Shipping — Connect a shipping provider (Shippo or Vinoshipper) for labels, rates, and compliance. Click the Set Up button to configure your shipping integration. This step can be skipped by clicking Skip for now.
Make It Yours ✨ — Add your logo and brand colors to create a polished public profile. Click the Customize button to go to the Theme settings. This step is marked complete once you upload a logo or change your brand colors from the defaults.

Each incomplete step shows a numbered circle. Completed steps show a green checkmark. Skipped steps show a gray dash with a Skipped badge.

Three steps are skippable: Import Your Contacts, Connect Your POS, and Set Up Shipping. Each has a Skip for now link next to its action button.

When You Complete All Steps

When all steps are completed or skipped, the checklist is replaced with a congratulations card that says You're all set! with the subtitle "Share your public link and start onboarding members." The card has two buttons:

Copy Link — copies your public profile URL to the clipboard
View Profile — opens your public business page in a new tab

Below the checklist, two cards offer additional help:

Need Help? — "Get support from our team" — links to the support page
Schedule a Walkthrough — "Book a guided setup session" — book a guided setup session with the WineView team
